The bachelor’s degree plan of study, curriculum, and courses have been developed in collaboration with Purdue’s legendary School of Aviation and Transportation Technology, whose renowned alumni have been part of every major achievement in aviation and aeronautics for more than 100 years.
As a Purdue Global Affiliate we provide 100% of the flight training at the Aurora Airport. One of the best attributes of this program is that it allows the student to complete their flight training at their own pace. It works very well our accelerated flight training program with a follow-on to Southern Airways.
Upon completion of the Bachelor of Science in Professional Flight, you will have earned industry certifications, including:
Purdue's program allows students to earn pilot ratings at their own pace. This works well with our accelerated path into Southern Airways. If both programs are started at the same time, completion of the Southern internship should align with the completion of the Bachelor Degree program. Approximate timeline is:
* Start Purdue Global on-line and Flight Training at JA Flight Training
* Month 12- Complete flight training and start as a paid co-pilot with Southern
* Month 24 - Move to Captain with an average salary of around $60,000.
* Month 36 - Start at Skywest Airlines as a co-pilot and complete the Purdue Global program.

A two-year commitment with Southern Airways is required and estimated pay for the two-years is $85,000 and students come out with approximately 2000 hours of flying time.
